Hi, I enjoy watching the Woodwrights shop on PBS every Sat and I’m hoping to watch some of the ones I missed before I got the woodworking bug.
Does anyone know if any episodes are available to buy on DVD? Amazon lists two or three old VHS tapes but these are now discontinued.
Unfortunately, the official PBS site http://www.pbs.org/woodwrightsshop/ doesn’t have any info.
Any suggestions on where I can watch the old episodes?
Thanks

You can watch some (delete: most) of the old episodes online from that Web link you posted. Here is the specific page to visit:

Very cool. I don't know how I missed those earlier. It looks like around 20ish or so episodes. That will keep me busy for quite a while thank you for cluing me in!I'd love to see PBS promote the Woodwrights shop a bit more. I can't believe it has been going so long. Now that I'm getting into using my handtools, its one of the few places I can actually see some of these tools in use! Thanks again

You have a great idea, sometimes I get the impression PBS doesn't get much demand for TWS episodes, though many woodworkers really love the shows. Perhaps an email campaign would push things along? The group over at WWA loves doin' stuff like that, I'll check with a couple members and see what they think.
