I live in the Twin Cities in Minnesota and the woodworking show that Rockler sponsors will be here in a few weeks. I just bought a new house so I’m really trying to be good and save money but I ran into a deal for a jet closed stand model 6inch jointer that has been used very little and the guy wants $320 for it. Seven Corners sells it for $599. It seems a very good deal but I’m wondering what kind of deals I can expect at the Woodworking show. I see many posts were folks say they bought their machines at the show. I dont expect a better deal than the add but just in case I thought I would see what deals to expect. thanks

I go to awoodworking show every year when it comes to my area- and I purchased a fair number of tools there. However, nothing has been at the discount that you're being offered.

That's an excellent price! Assuming it checks out, go for it.

Or get a Ridgid jointer, brand new, with warranty, for $350. There really are no substantial differences between any of the 6" short-bed imported jointers.
I would not use the $599 price as a comparison point. Jet jointers sold for years for $450-500. The $600 price is a recent hike, and way out of line IMHO.
Ridgid jointer..
I have the 6 inch Ridgid jointer.. For the price it works for me!..I'd like longer beds BUT.. I have no complaints with it.. I LOVE makin' wood chips!
Most wood shot discounts for machines is 10%.

That sounds like a price you should go for.
The WW show prices are not much of a deal --- unless you buy demos they have brought to the show. The hot stuff will be snapped up in the first day or so, but the prices get better as the show wears on.
None of these people are very excited about packing a machine up and shipping it back to the warehouse. Aside from the work/hassle involved for them personally, such machines must then be sold in the "reconditioned" market.
