Are there any Woodworking Shows in California (Sept, Oct) in the LA to Sacramento area. I should be out there and like to see what the West Coast has to offer.
Thanks… SawdustSteve…

No shows that I know of but there is the California State Fair and it usually has some nice work on display. I think the dates are listed on the FWW site under "events".
Steve - in Northern California
Yes there are a couple of shows here in Southern California each year. The first one is in late October/early November, then again in April/May. They are held either in Pomona, at the Fair grounds, or in Costa Mesa, at the Orange county Fair grounds. It is sometimes held in Long Beach at the L.B. convention center. All the venues are within 45 miles of each other, or roughly an hour around here, depending on time of day and traffic. Let me know if you come this way and I'll hook you up with directions and driving tips.
Speaking of, anybody knows what happened to The Woodworking Shows? I checked http://www.thewoodworkingshows.com only to find a "page cannot be found" message. The address was correct as I had it bookmarked. There was nothing in the Fine Woodworking events page as well.
You might head over to Mendocino, a picturesque town on the coast due west of Sacramento. The region has lots of ex-students from the College of the Redwoods (the school where Krenov taught), and there are several galleries with furniture by them. Besides, the drive over there is gorgeous.
Steve:
See if you can get a copy of woodworker west. It lists all shows, exhibits, swap meets, etc. on the west coast. It is published every two months.
