I have a question. I’m building my shop. And I have just got my latest issue of Fine Woodworking. And I was thinking about the article on wood flooring. I have installed radiant heat in the floor. The way the article explain on how to install it, would it block my heat. I know not to nail it down. And will it make that much of a difference on walking and my legs. I would have to change one door. It would be to long. I would have to change my rough opening by 2 and a half to 3 inches. Thanks Hat

Hat,
I'm not sure I understand your question but, if your radiant heat is in the floor already, putting insulation on top of it would significantly reduce the heat you would receive in the shop. Is your current floor concrete? Putting down wood or other material would be more comfortable on your shins especially. Hope that answer is close to your question.
