Hi,
I’m a woodworker near Chicago looking for one or two good sawmills in Wisconsin. I’m primarily interested in 8/4 walnut and cherry. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a favorite sawmill in Wisconsin. I’d love to plan a couple of days driving through Wisconsin stopping along the way to pick up some lumber.
Thanks,

Badger Hardwoods in Walworth, on Rt. 14 just across the border (on the western side of Lake Geneva).
Aside from nice the drive through Wisconsin, there are a number of mills in the Chicago area. Meyer in West Chicago comes to mind. But I just tried to use the Knots search function with the keywords "sawmill chicago" (yes...without the quotation marks) in an effort to uncover an older discussion on a similar topic and the search returned ZERO results.
