I’ll be exhibiting at Winterfest, a high end craft show in Valley Forge PA this weekend Nov 30-Dec 2. I’ll have my (collapsible) Nicholson bench set up and will be doing hand tool demos adjacent to some of my furniture.
This show is really craft, not furniture based. If you live in the area and are interested in seeing fine repro furniture, the Designer Craftsman show in January (same location) is the one to go to. But this show offers the unique opportunity to bring you wife and have her meet you back at my booth when she is done looking at (the really interesting and fabulous) pewter, textiles, paintings and other stuff.
I haven’t decided if I will bring my entire tool chest or not, but you can expect a good sampling of period tools/capabilities.
If you are looking for something to do this weekend and live in the Delaware valley, be sure to check it out:

I will (most likely) see you at the show. Will I be able to locate you due to the faint shreiking of a Makita hand planer? Or will you leave that at home?
For people in the area who are still on the fence: this is a wonderful craft show. There is much there that any artisan, as we all are to some degree, can appreciate. In the past there have been so many different crafts represented. Most of which goes well beyond 'craft' and into 'art'. It's much more than a community craft fair with the standard cutting board/ceramics/salsa booths. It's highly recommended, especially with the holiday season approaching.
Hi Matt. Nah, I don't use Makita anymore. Just look for me under the green and white FESTOOL banner. I fact, I'm so into FESTOOL, I now give all my demos in German.Adam
It is the only logical way to join two pieces of wood.
you guys are a hoot!
"It is the only logical way to join two pieces of wood."Since I found out about FESTOOL, I don't think of it as joinery anymore. I think of it as annexing boards that really belonged together historically. In fact, I just call it what it should be called, "anschluß"Aufwiedersehen, darlingAdam
