Am looking for plans or a place to get them for Wing Back chairs. I want to make the frames and adjust them to height angle etc. then will have the chairs custom covered.
Thanks to all in advance.

Try Norman Vandal's book on 'Queen Anne Furniture'. It has a very detailed plan and construction information.
Tom
Phil Lowe sells full size plans of some of the furniture he makes. I believe he may have a wing chair among them. I have two of his plans and they are of the highest quality--just like his furniture.
Tom,
I might have been misleading when I was talking about the chair. The chairs I'm talking about are like the kind found in stuffy ole mens clubs etc. they are fully upholstered sometimes in leather and have the wings on the side of the back.
The plans or book I'm looking for will show how to do the wood frame before it is upholstered.
I'm going to try and attach a picture but up till this time I have never been able to make it work.
Thanks for all your input.
Best Regards,
Terry
Terry,
That is exactly what is shown in the book, a detail plan for creating the wooden frame for a wing-back chair (also called an 'easy chair). The legs are a QA style, but you could change them to fit any style you would want. There is also a detailed description of the construction process. It is worth taking a look...I think it is exactly what you would need for this type of project. There is 18 pages of information including 10 pages of detailed drawings. There are 'graphs' over many of the curves for square transfer of the details.

Tom,
Thanks I tried to see what was in the book at Amazon .com and it did not show it. I will see if they have it at Barnes & Noble in stock if not I'll order it.
By the way did a picture show up in my last post or not?
Best Regards,
Terry
Check it out from the library if possible. I wouldn't want you to buy a book on my recommendation if it is not what you will need either immediately or into the future.
good luck,
Tom
