Mike,
Where is the selection 'whining about what went wrong'...it's the one thing I'm sure of in every project.
I vote for "Buying new Tools" Duke

Jazz, you have to enjoy the product first-more "enjoyment" (especially from customer) can result in getting paid more.....Philip Marcou
Hi Philip,
As much as I enjoy the entire process (especially teaching!), getting paid to do what I love is the icing on the cake - without that, it'd still be a terrific hobby.
What fun would it be to take polls like these seriously?

When's the last time you went by The Room Store?

Enjoy life & do well by it;
Holy smokes, that's a lot of fonts in one post. How many species do you put into a typical panel? :)
Father bless me for I have sined... I tried to vote twice and it would not let me!My favorite step was when my new bride got into the four poster I made for her!

Gosh, Phillip, I really DO apologize ... methinks that "Room Store" thing is just a Phoenix-only (bad) phenomena :-(
I thorry!!
But-t-t-t ... last time I was by Aukland (some 40+years ago under sail), the only saw I seen was attached to a sheep-shearer... (or maybe just the opposite...) :-)-- Steve

LOL!!! That's the same category that I was looking for :) !!
See ya.

I'd say buying the wood.
Then changing my mind about the design .
Then going back and buying more wood.
Actually this survey didn't include my favorite part of woodworking. I like trying to design jigs to automate the process or add to the repeatability. But I'm weird.
My other vote is enjoying the look on someone else's face when I tell them I made it!

81tree,
Only if their reply is not "Yeah, I thought so..." ;-))
Cheers,

My favorite is when someone asks "Where did you buy that?"
