Does anyone have a suggestion for sealing inside a turned vase? A couple of my larger pieces have old drinking glasses forced inside them, but this is hardly an elegant solution. I was wondering if there is a pourable plastic sealer that would work. I would like to be able to use the suggested solution on a variety of wood types.
cheers

Essentially wood vases are for dried flowers or decoration. You might use epoxy as a coating that would last for a while, but since wood and epoxy expand and contract at different rates, you couldn't expect the result to be very long lasting, and would be impossible to remove when, not if, it fails.
Steve has given you a "finishing" answer. I think the only other possibility IF water is to be involved (I agree with him also--not for water) would be something like pine tar.
The other possibility is ot put a plastic bag inside the vase if they MUST use water.
spun metal
Another new adventure on the lathe. Spin some aluminum, copper or brass on a mandril that has been turned to the inside shape of your vessel. Epoxy the spinning into the vase, then remount the vase to the lathe and then spin and roll form the metal to the opening. This could be a very stunning look.
