I’ve been looking all over my immediate area, big box stores to specialty paint shops, for Watco satin wax. The liquid stuff that’s recommended on my old can of Watco danish oil finish as a top coat. Can’t seem to find anyone in the Mt Vernon (WA) area that stocks it.
Did some ‘Net research and found one web page where the guy said carnuba wax mixed with turps or thinner is practially the same thing. I’m looking that the ease of application that the satin wax provided.
Does anyone in the area north of Seattle know of a source for the Watco product and lacking that, would carnuba+thinner do the same thing?
Thanks.

Dennis,
Woodcraft carries Watco Satin Wax...why don't you just order it? I don't know about durability, protection, etc. but I really like the polish ...waiting now for the oil to dry so I can apply with 1000 grit ...
Thanks, BG. I'll check on line to see about ordering from Woodcraft.

BG and Dennis:
Pat Warner recommended using Watco (rather than Formica) to seal an MDF router table (and presumably fence, etc). Which Watco should be purchased?
Robbie,
I'm kinda surprised at that suggestion..use Watco instead of formica...but, what do I know. Anyhow, as far as I have ever seen there is only one Watco Danish oil....and then they drop in some stain to make a variety of offerings.... The Watco wax is just for polishing...
