I’ll be in Wesern Wash. State in a month(if I din’t melt from this 100+ degree heat first) and I need to find a local source(if possible) for drum/widebelt sanding, for blade/cutter sharpening, and good hard wood suppliers. Any suggestions?

Seattle has two (at least) good hardwood suppliers, CrossCut Hardwoods and Compton Lumber and Hardwood, they are both on 1st Ave. South, less than a block from each other. If we can get Lomax to pitch in on this thread, he'll know of other good places to go.
Hardwoods Supply in Redmond advertises wide-belt sanding, but I've never been there so can't testify.
If you need addresses or Phone nos., drop me a line.
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Eastside Saw in Bellevue does sharpening of blades.
Crosscut is my favorite place for wood. Edensaw in Seattle and Port Townsend for veneers and hardwood respectively are good places to go. There are a couple of Rockler's but prices are high.
Anybody else for hardwoods/sharpening closer to Olympia?
The best prices for kiln dried hardwood I have found in the area is Architectural Hardwoods in Tacoma but you will need a tax number because they only sell wholesale.
I never have found a good blade sharpener in the area. My last set of 4 blades came back with two concave and two convex. I recently bought a Brown and Sharpe universal grinder so I won't have to go through that again.
Probably not much help.
