Please bear with me, I am new at this..
I have 2 raised panel doors that are made of birch and they are 18″x 32 1/2″ high.
The doors have been painted and are used in a bathroom. The problem is that they
are warped, so that one corner sticks out about a 1/2 inch from the faceframe. Can
I glue a plywood panel to the back to flatten the door or is there a better solution
to this problem? If you have any ideas, post it here or you can email me at
Thank you for any help you can provide.

well, no one has answered, so I'll take a stab and kick this back to the top - the fact that the door has warped outwards suggests that it has absorbed moisture from the bath enviroment - the first thing I would try would be to take the door off and lay it with the proud side down on the grass in the sun for a day and see if that would take the tension out - - if it should, a fresh coat of paint resistant to moisture could help keep it from happening again -
I don't think the plywood plan would have the effect you seek - perhaps a rod from the warped corner to the opposite corner, blocked away from the door in the middle and then tensioned (think the hardware they sell to square screen doors) might pull things back into relationship -
a post over at 'breaktime' might get you some more ideas - regards, DOUD
