I recently purchased sheets of Baltic ply: 1/4, 1/2, & 3/4. The 3/4 is slightly warped, the 1/2 warped a lot and the 1/4 is more like spaghetti.
I have cut 6 18×18 shelves from the 1/2. Stacked together, the warpage is very obvious. Are there ways to flatten these cut boards?
When I bring sheet goods home is there a way to flatten them before cutting? I tried to sort thru the boards but they are too heavy for me so I pick thru the top 3 or so.
Thanks,
Burt

Use the shelves with the camber up; the warp should disappear in a short while if the shelves are under load. Otherwise, attach a front and rear cleat to pull them straight.
If you cannot store your ply flat, or upright, then I'd wet the underside and suspend it at the ends while putting a weight on the middle.
Your question reminds me of a pet peeve of mine ... why does HD so often stack the plywood on racks that are not flat??? I see this all the time and it makes me nuts. They're wrecking the product. Can't they level the metal bars that support the wood so that it lays flat.
Just b!@#$%ing.
