is making me lazy. Knowing I can flaten a maple tabletop in 5 minutes with 60 grit is encouraging me to skip cawls and shims in glue up. Is this affecting anyone else?

What makes me lazy is knowing that I can get a perfectly flat panel using dominos and not have to worry about sanding it flat.
I am waiting until they release the new Festool "Messias". It sounds perfect for my shop. It will be Festool's first "shop" tool. It has a self feed that accepts all types of materials including reclaimed materials. It has a built in metal detector and will remove and clean such materials of any foreign substance. Once through the initial stage, the "Messias" can then construct several types of furniture parts and with the proper attachments, assemble and finish them as well. I believe that a telepathic attachment know as "Gebet" will be available in the near future, which will be perfect for those hard to please clients.
What will be really cool is when they release (if they release) the rumored "Alchimie"!
Best,
John

If you're tired of cooking toast on the burner they now offer a Festool toaster.
I used to run it through my table saw with the fence angled inwards, but that always burned my toast.Chris @ http://www.flairwoodwork.spaces.live.com and now http://www.flairwoodworks.com)

That's how I do it, with a slice of maple. Works great.
Don't worry, while it is an affliction, it is one you can live with and still lead a full and healthy life!
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it.
And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
