Is there any danger to someone with Nut allergies from handling something finished with walnut oil. Assuming of course the oil is cured.

I can't answer that question from a medical perspective. You'd be better off asking an allergist

I understand your position I was only curious if you had further information on the Walnut oil vs: allergies thing.
I have been rearching this a bit and have found that no one really knows for sure. It's like on Tues coffee will kill you and Thursday it will add months to your life. It looks like it depends on how the oil is processed. I believe the best answer for 'our' use in wood finishing can be found here; http://www.bowlmakerinc.com/ under 'Resources'. IN MY OPINION and for my own uses, Mike's process apparently removes the protien that causes the problem. Martin
