We here in S. MD do not get much snow so now “they ” are saying stuff like 4″-6″ to start and then 12″-18″.That kind of snow will definitly shut down things here, even tho locally we’ll see maybe 6″-8″. And I’m not trying my luck on the highway, people here are not used to “snow” annd they’re crazy on the road. Looks like I’ll be playing in the shop most of the weekend. Yup, good day to stay in the “playhouse”. Ya’ll stay warm. Bill D.

Have fun in the "playhouse".
When I was in the Army, and stationed in Germany back in the mid-'60s, it was always fun to watch people not accustomed to snow try to drive on the cobblestone streets during the winter.
hey bill,
if it snowed where i live the whole city would shut down. we have great difficulty negotiating the rain, let alone frozen streets. not to piddle in anyone's wheaties, or anything, but it looks as though we're topping out at around 75 degrees, under sunny skies.

I'm with eef. The sky is clear, it's warm and Santa wears shorts out here.
Happy Holidays to all,

Yea, reminds me of when I live in Tucson and it would snow ...everything came to a stop. Then the sun would come out and poof..snow gone and back into the 70's. Here in So. MD will hopefully wind up with enough snow that I won't even think of going anywhere. Stay home play with the Wonder Wife and boys. Maybe make some .......COOKIES!!!!!!
Enjoy your 70's while I play in the snow while it lasts.

When the weatherman calls for snow here the grocery stores are packed, everybody stocks up on milk, eggs and bread. Once I asked the cashier why and she told me “don’t know, my guess is they want to make French toast”

We're down south of you in
We're down south of you in central VA. It's comming down gangbusters and heading your way. Enjoy!!!
I grew up down there in St. Mary's Co. I remember the big storm in the late 70's when they had thunderheads in the storm and got somthing like 38 inches in Hollywood. Plase shut down for best part of 2 weeks. Now I am on the otherside of the state (Frederick area) and it looks like we are goint to get 8 to 16 inches or we could get more or get less. I did start up the snow blower today, just in case.
Hi Dan,
Whilst all you folks are having fun in the snow, it's 8 below zero up here and dropping. Got up to 10 above to day!
We're not supposed to get anything in terms of snow up here this weekend, if i'm to believe the weatherman. Tell ye what, I'll swap the cold for the snow!
Regards,
Now "they" say we could get up to 22 inches. Yep went to the store for bread milk, and my brothers for 4 doz farm fresh eggs, ..french toast with fresh honey and sausage and eggs. Then to the playhouse and fire up the old wood cookstove. Make some sawdust and watch it snow. The "Wonder Wife" will be in her "thread shed" warping and weaving. we will both be snug and warm. Plenty of wood, food and love.
Maybe I'll try to post pics in the morn. Merry Christmas to all

When the pics were taken we had about 10" , were're expecting about 6 more. ....never mind ...I can't figure this *&^%$$#%^^&* thing out to post pics...Ya just have to take my word for it. I REALLY LIKED THE OLD FORM BETTER ( except the sign in part)
Hey...I just noticed that the pics attached to my fist post on the topic. Yup.,,gonna have to read the instructions more.
Snow? Pray tell what is that? It is 72 degrees today, the doors are open and the birds are singing.... Paradise indeed.

I'm in SE Indiana and we only
I'm in SE Indiana and we only have about 2", but that could change by morning. It is still snowing and the flakes are getting bigger.
We got something like 20 inches here in western maryland. I have had is little snow blower for like 5 years that most years might get used once a season to take care of 4 to 6 inches. FIrst year I had it, no snow at all. I was starting to feel guilty about having so much money tied up in a tool I didn't use. Not after this storm. I had to run it 4 times up and down the driveway and walks, but by 11:00 this morning we were dug out (all three cars etc.) I figure the money saved in chiropratic bills alone pays for the machine.
My son got in from college on Thursday before the storm got started, so no one had be out traveling in this mess.
