I have the opportunity to purchase a vintage “Galt” 14″ jointer. I haven’t been able to look at it in person as it’s a 5 hr drive away. It’s 5hp, single phase. Owner claims it works well and isn’t missing anything. 

Anyone have any info/insight on these old machines? He wants $750 which seems like a great deal but information on these jointers is slim.
