Has anyone tried any of the VCI (Vapor-phase Corrosion Inhibitor) products for use with hand tools storage? Apparently VCI products are well established in the commercial sector for packaging all types of metal parts.
I’ve seen references to the fact that the paper used to package LN tools is impregnated with VCI but haven’t been able to confirm that.
Searches of woodworking forums has come up empty but I see that both Woodcraft and Amazon are selling Zerust drawer liners that look like they would be ideal for preventing rust on hand tools (an any tool stored in drawers/cabinets.
Anyone know more about this, or perhaps tried it?

Just recieved a reply from the inquiry to LN. Here is what they said about their use of VCI packaging:
"The Ferro-Pak paper that we use is VCI impregnated. We have actually changed things a little. We now seal the tools in a plastic that is also VCI impregnated. The paper inside those bags is simply newsprint, to keep the oil on the tools from reacting with the plastic. We do sell the Ferro-Pak paper if you would like to get some to line your drawers."
