Can you recommend a brand specific high UV protective sealer that will be top coated with nc lacquer? I have an inlay project with several items of pink ivory and I don’t want it to turn brown from UV light. Many thanks.

Broadus,
I would use the same brand sealer and lacquer. NC lacquer isn't as popular as it was a number of years ago but is still available. Check with a major manufacturer like Sherwin-Williams or Valspar.
Valspar coatings are located in high Point, North Carolina. Check for a local distributor.
Sherwin-Williams NC lacquer is available in a couple of different systems. One recommends lacquer sanding sealer the other, called Lo Voc ,recommends vinyl sealer.
You might also consider CAB Acrylic lacquer. It won't have the yellowing tendencies that NC will. It also is sealed with a vinyl sealer.
Whatever system or brand I use, I use the same thinner. It keeps things simple.

Thanks for the reply Peter. However, my question is not with NC lacquer but rather a specific sealer that is of high UV protectors to protect against the deteriation of color. Of course, it must be compatible with NC lacquer. If you know of a specific sealer I would appreciate if you would let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Broaduis
Broadus,
I checked around and didn't find a sealer high in UV inhibitors. They are in the topcoats.
Do you have to use NC lacquer? The conversion varnishes tend to have a fair amount of inhibitors in them. They also contain enough solids to be self sealing. You can use them as the sealer and the topcoat. This eliminates the need for a separate product and increases the UV filter.
