Used Delta Machinery Specs
Hi all,
For the past hour I’ve been searching here and other sites for information on Delta woodworking machines that are about 3- 12 years old. An acquaintance of mine is selling a shaper, planer, and a lathe. I’m looking for pictures, brief descriptions, manuals, and basic value. Does anyone know where I might find at least some of this info?
Thanks, Paul

Can you post the model numbers? I have quite a bit of Delta literature.

OWWM.com will have some info. Value is relative to location, some machines are in more demand such as saws, planers, jointers, bandsaws while lathes are a slower sell. Condition is a plus. Look at what similar new machines go for and 2/3 to 1/2 would be a starting point. You can always go down but not up in price. Put them on Craigslist and see what you get for calls. Watchout as some folks will scope out the shop and come back later when no one is around and clean house. It does happen. You might have a local dealer who will come over and appraise the tools and might even sell them on consignment. There's lots of ways to do this but for the beginner it can be tricky. If it sells too quick folks worry that it was priced too low.
Hi RickL,
Sound advice. Thanks for your input.

These are really too recent to be considered OWWM but they might have something. Ace Tool Repair (http://www.acetoolrepair.com) has parts lists and exploded views that can be helpful. Delta's site should have manuals if you manage to wade through their site.

Thanks to all for your interest. I've got what I needed.
