URGENT Calling all SoCal wannabe turners
I signed up for an Intro to Woodturning Class at Cerritos that’s supposed to start tonight and run for 18 weeks. I got an email Friday that says the class might not happen as only 12 registered and the minumum is 20. The class meets Tuesdays from 6-7 followed by lab from 7-10. Total cost for residents is $104 with parking and the associated fees. So if your interested sign-up on line and/or show up tonight. The class is # WMT 118.

We trained hard, but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form up into teams, we would be reorganized. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing; and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization.

John,
Were you at the class last night? I was there, and am looking forward to the rest of it.
For anyone else in the SoCal area, the class IS happening, but still has room for more people. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning to turn, and you really can't beat the price.

Yes I was there. Enjoyed making a nice round pine stick. Hated screwing it up trying to make beads. See you next week. I'll be the one with the beard and the limp. Just had knee surgery 3 weeks ago.John O'Connell - JKO Handcrafted Woodworking
