True customer service attitude, so rare these days
Last week I purchased a used 16″ DoAll bandsaw (am I allowed to gloat?). I had a question about theblade guide inserts and called DoAll this morning. I wasn’t sure which menu option I should chose, and it turned out that the one I selected wasn’t really the one that could answer my questions. However, the person to whom I was connected was truly a customer service rep. He told me that he’d connect me to “one of the folks over at the factory” and also gave me that extension, but before forwarding the call he gave me his own name and direct phone/extension numbers, and said I should feel free to call him at any time I had a question or needed help, and he’d make sure he connected me with the proper party, “that’s what I’m here for”. How rare to find this kind of attitude, on top of which the person spoke true English, and the factory is still located in the United States. Was also pleased to find that the parts for my 50 year old “find” are still available from the manufacturer. Almost seems like I must have entered some kind of time warp, perhaps an episode of “The Twilight Zone”.

Are you SURE you wern't talking to Rod Serling? Soon all customer service calls will require ability to speak Hindi, Wu or Mandarin, or really butchered Spanish.
