Triton Router – dust collection hose?
Triton routers have a built-in dust collection port, but it’s made for a funky 1 1/2″ hose with counter-clockwise spirals. Does anybody have any way of connecting a Triton to some sort of standard American dust collection system?

I'm looking, too. I thought I found something at McMaster, but the spiral was opposite the Triton's. It sort of works, jam in in good.
FWIW, the hose from my Festool vac works fine -- I just push it in, and there's enough give that it makes for a secure fit.
Before Triton reorganized, I convinced the Canadian rep to send me a 3 foot length.
This discussion has come up in the past and I inquired of the new NA distributor of the part. They said it was standard hoes.
I will take my pice into a hose specialist and see if I can get it identified.

Don,
If you know such a specialist, please do!
I use a piece of hose from a Shop Vac brand vacuum. I cut a small wedge out of the end to allow the hose to compress a bit, thus reducing its' circumference slightly. This does not thread in directly. Instead, I loosen the screws on the clear plastic plate; insert the hose; and then re-tighten the screws.
The main problem I have is that the adapter at the other end that connects up to my 2 1/2" Y fitting is a constriction point that clogs frequently. I need a better method to adapt to the 2 1/2".
I recall wondering where to get the 1.25 in hose and found the correct hose
in the Ridgid 1 1/4" Accessory 5 piece Detailing Kit
Ridgid Part No. VT2524
The hose supplied ois fairly long , enough to set up 2 of these routers in a router table.
Here is a article I wrote on building a router table for the Triton router.

still searching...
I searched the Home Depot and Ridgid tool sites for the VT2524 kit and found nothing. The closest is a VT2534 7 piece car cleaning kit, but the Ridgid site does'nt list the size (altho it is listed under 2 1/2" accessories). The Home Depot site says it has a 1/4" hose!!! It shows 4 in stock at my local store, so I will check next time I am there.
Also, the link to your router table build does not work.

Hose
I tried the 27mm hose from Festool. The nozzle end fits like a glove, and that rubber end holds very well.

Wow! At a mere $98 for a 4' hose, do they also include a small boy to hold it in place and turn the vacuum on and off for you??

The hose is a standard household vacuum hose. I bought a short "leftover" piece at a vacuum repair shop and attached one end to a pvc fitting that I plug into a shop-made wooden adapter

Larry,
Is this a standard U.S. size hose, or are you in a metric country? Any brand name on it?
Thanks
mishing the mash
With the mish-mash of ID vs. OD sizes on vac fittings, the practical solution is often duct tape.
Larry Is quite correct, the dust collection port is a standard vacuum cleaner hose. I went down to a vacuum dealer and their standard wire reinforced hose fit. I was charged $ 1.75 per foot.
