Anyone out there know how to get a hold of these dyes in Canada? Specifically, Edmonton. I’m looking for vintage maple.

If you're willing to mail order, just about anyone can ship to Canada. Have you tried Rockler?
Real trucks dont have sparkplugs
I guess I may have to. I saw this guy, The Wood Whisperer, using it on Youtube. Really popped the grain. I recommend his segments. I'll try Rockler though. Thanks.
Best (cheapest) place to get Transtint dye is here:

I'm not sure if he ships to Canada but it would be worth an email or phone call.

Joe Woodworker does indeed ship to Canada. I just recieved my order of veneer softener.
Brad
Lee,
This is indeed a cheap source for Transtint!
Pete
Why not try -http://www.homesteadfinishing.com/ ? Jeff Jewett is the guy who makes them.

Bingo!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Did you notice - in our local paper we had a story about a CAT that had received a "Voter Registration Form" in the mail from a 'get the vote out' organization. The cat's name is Dipper Jewett - owned by Jeff Jewett of Homestead Finishes. Perhaps we are famous too, as we know Jeff or know of him.Frosty"I sometimes think we consider the good fortune of the early bird and overlook the bad fortune of the early worm." FDR - 1922
Jeff does not ship to Canada, at least not the last time I checked. Too much paperwork for some.
Brad
Frosty,
Compare the prices of Jeff Jewett and veneersuupplies.
But, where does veneersupplies ship from-are taxes going to be added?
Pete
Wow! Big difference. Apparently Jeff does not want to be in the position of 'undercutting' his retailers.Frosty"I sometimes think we consider the good fortune of the early bird and overlook the bad fortune of the early worm." FDR - 1922
Woodcraft also carries transtint. I'd guess they ship just about anywhere.

You might want to give Wood Essence (Saskatoon, Sask) a try. I didnt mention them earlier because I did not have great success last time I tried, but I gave him another shot and he got back to me very quickly and things will be shipped very soon. They have really improved their webiste too since I last checked him out. They have a few dye options and trans tint.
