Thought Lester Margon would have done one of these, but none found in the books I have. Perhaps you might check with the Society of American Period Furniture Makers. Lots of info on their website and a forum to ask your questions as well.

Gottschall has a drawing of a Newport secretary, but I can't remember if it's an actual measured drawing off an original, or a drawing from a Wallace Nutting piece. If it's the latter, thenit wouldn't be very reliable since Nutting often "improved" the original pieces in his own work.

Here's another link to period pieces. Makes available several out of print books .

Try the book of Jeffrey Greene on 'American Furniture of the 18th Century'. I am not sure there is a secretary there, but it may be a start. I hear that Greene and Moses are coming out with a book soon on the 'Master Craftsmen of Newport', but don't know if it is biographical or project oriented.
