After reading several of the posts here It occurred to me that it sure could help if the tool manufacturers made these woodworking posts required reading for their design staff. But, I can tell that that is not now the case. I wonder if the designers ever go to woodworking shows??
I bet the people that frequent here could do a pretty good job setting design criteria. Anyone ever marketed a ‘user designed’ tool?

I agree 100%. My mission in participating in the forums is to help when possible and gain information to use in the development and improvement of tools and tooling. Any ideas or suggestions are certainly welcome.

You might be surprised as to how many manufactureres actually lurk in the forums. The head of PC made a comment recently that the internet has made more people want to keep up with each other in tool buying instead of using tools.

I completely agree with the comments from the guy from PC. It seems that many people think that buying tools makes them a woodworker. I like tools as much as the next guy, but geez, how many routers do you need. In any event, the manufacturers must love it. Keeps profits high.

At Darkworks cut to size made to burn......Putty isnt a option
Ron,
Can't say much for the fellows from Delta other than folks have turned to them for help when Delta customer service (a misnomer if there ever was one) doesn't address their problems. I do know that the chap from Freud has never used this forum to push his product. He jumps in when folks have serious questions, and simply addresses their problems. I think it's great.
