For a year I’ve been saving for a Tablesaw. I’ve had my eye on the Jet Supersaw but am having second thoughts with the multiple technical and service issues I’ve read about.
DeWalt was second choice, but the Grizzley 1023 looks attractive.
Before I buy, can the members help me out with impressions of Griz Service and quality?
For a home WW’er it seems like a great machine.
Thanks

WWW,
I've had mine for about 15 months...1023s....can't say much about the service..haven't had any issues. It has worked flawlessly from the first day once the cosmoline was removed.
I did not think I needed this big a machine initially, being just a hobbiest, but as it has turned out I cut a lot of 4-6" thick hardwood timbers into slabs with the blade at full height..the machine does not mind.
I was attracted to the Jet and DeWalt mainly for the sliding table option. But I know myself, and decided buying less power would make me always wonder....but that's me.
I think your wise to reconsider the SS purchase. Between the two hybrids, the DW seems to have the upper hand with the better fence. But even the fence on the DW doesn't compare all that well IMO with the Biese types that come on other saws in that price range. The offers alot of saw for the money....the downside is mail order if you like to touch. You might consider looking at a Shop Fox. SF is a sister company to Griz and offers similar value features, but with dealer support and a longer warranty.
I am a strong advocate for Grizzley.. The price they get for stuff made them attractive to me. (who doesn't like a bargin) but the quality and service I recieved after my first purchase convinced me that Grizzley was the way to go.. I have since purchased from Grizzley at least a dozen times and always have been happy. Maybe it's the little bonus they send along with each order.. Maybe it's the quick service or how quickly theresponded when the shipping company damaged the Jointer in delivery..
(a simple phone call and they offered to have it picked up and a new one sent out , Instead I told them what parts were damaged and they sent them overnite and everything was working the next day! No forms to fill out, no old parts to send back.. nothing.. just bang! here are your parts and we are sorry it happened..)
I wound up buying the larger G5959 tablesaw since I have so many large timbers to work with..
However others that I know with the 1023 love it.. They did seem to like the 5 hp version more than the 3 hp with one guy who bought the three hp already replacing his motor (but then he was sawing 3 inch thick hard maple and we all know what a chore that is.. )
I have a shop full of Grizzly. The machines and the service have been great. I've had my 1023S for a couple of years and have not had any problem with it at all. I highly recommend it.
Terry
I sold my saw and will upgrade with the 1023 left tilt. My friend pounds his 3 hp 1023 sawing particlboard and solid surface and the saw really performs. I have a Beismeyer to attach so I am not concerned with the fence. No one else comes close for the money.
