I want to attach 3/4 MDF to the wall studs in my shop, as in the recent garage shop article. I know that Confirmat screws are best for a MDF to MDF connection. But this is MDF to pine and maybe a different screw is better.
I was thinking that a panhead screw of the type used to hang kitchen cabinets would work. I would make a counterbore for the head with the appropriate clearance and pilot holes.
Whaddya think?

I only have a few opinions about screws. I think the wider the threads on a screw the better. Don't sweat which type of screw. Just use enough long ones and you'll be fine. Good luck. Gary
