USANigel,
My friend , you are talking Diamonds or Emeralds , or perhaps a cruise or if you really love her, maybe clean the garage or complete all those projects around the house . Maybe a surprise weekend getaway with all the trimmings.
good luck dusty
That has to be a first Nigel. My wife has turned 39 a few times but 50 is out of the question. For special occasions, I found a unique jeweler that makes me look like a hero. Most of the time jewelry stores just daze and confuse me, everything starts looking the same. This artisan makes some unusual nature based pieces that are delicate and elegant. I particularly like the work in bronze and fresh water pearls. Whether your wife is a jewelry junky or someone that only wears a piece once in a while, this stuff will appeal to all and everyone will want to know where it came from. The craftsman's name is Michael Michaud.

Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Step 1. Make a small wooden jewelry box. Something out of a special piece of wood.
Step 2. Get a nice piece of jewerly to put into the wood box.
Step 3. Go to someplace special (restaurant of your first date, place where you proposed, someplace with significance for the two of you.)
Step 4. Give her the wooden box (with the jewerly inside).
Hope it is a great celebration for both of you.
