My wife & I just returned from a visit to relatives in Dallas. We were headed west on I 20 when I noticed a freeway sign advertising a nearby “Texas Handcrafted Furniture Museum” (or some similar name) nearby. I never saw the sign indicating which turnoff to exit the freeway, so I missed it. I would like to locate it on the web and maybe visit it next time we are there. Does anyone know what the exact name of it is and exactly where it is located? And is it worth visiting? I know there is a similar site in or near Kerrville, but this was in North Texas.
The sign was about 45 minutes west of Ft Worth on IS-20, somewhere near the turnoff to Stephenville and Mineral Wells.
Thanks much, Gary

Is this it?

Ralph, Thanks, but nope, that's not it. That one is near San Antonio, around 200 miles south of where the sign was. I briefly looked at the site you provided and it does sound interesting though. Maybe I will try that one next time we're in Texas.
Still hoping someone else will clue me in to the one off I 20.

Lived in Texas for a few years. Everything is interesting! Especally the women!
Will, I shake hands with you in agreement on that (about TX women). Don't know what I like best about them, their looks or the way they talk. I am slowly making progress with persuading my wife for us to move back there (Texas or Arkansas) someday. She would be perfect if she just could develop a Southern drawl. She got addicted to sweet tea when we were back there, so things look promising.
Nice to hear from you, Gary
My wife HATED Texas! She was the perfect mate.. For me at least. But NOT with the bugs and strange sounds at night...
I was at Fort Hood Texas at the time (1960 or so) and she spent most of her time in Nolanville? Texas. She found some kittens and just loved them.. She saw a Diamondback eat one and went back to Chicago on the next airplane!
Chicago City girl that never saw a 'real' snake... I was so called 'Strike Force' at the time and had all my gear at my house and at the base... Had to bring in all my equipment for inspections at 'whatever' time the Army wanted! They found my M1 fired and not taken care of... I asked the Master Sergeant if I could go back home and ask my wife what happened.. He said OK.. I asked my wife what about the M1 I told you to never mess with? She said a BIG REALLY HUGE BUG came inside! I saw how you loaded the 'Ammo Clips' and I fired! I had to pay to fix the house...
Master Sergeant understood for some reason, he never took excuses... Maybe his wife did it at some time?

Did she get the bug?

That was a TEXAS bug, gonna take something bigger than a M1!
I was there too Will, about 10 years after you. That sounds like some of those chiggers that attack us -- they were fierce!Woody

I just took a bath in Gasoline. No smoking at the time!
Chiggers are worse than Diamondbacks. At least you die sometime with the snake. Chiggers, you wait forever wishing you were dead!
"Chiggers, you wait forever wishing you were dead!"
Yep, that's those Texas chiggers all right! When I retire in a couple of years I will be right in the middle of them, on lake about a 100 miles north of there. I'll scratch a little for you Will.Woody
I'll scratch a little for you Will. THANKS! Not to hard though. I bleed easily!
Nasty little critters that you never knew where you got em! The Army had so good stuff IF you could get it to ease the scratching.
I had it so bad once I stabbed my leg with a Atropine cartridge we carried for Nerve gas! I was desperate! NOT REALLY! But I was thinking about it ALOT.
Did she get the bug?
Yes! But she had it under my steel helmet with the bed leg on top of it to hold it down!
