Table Saw Granite extension preparation
Have almost finished the setup of the Ridgid R4511 and would like some guidance on the granite top surface preparation. Should I use Johnson’s Paste wax, a Carnauba wax, or some other product? Thanks.

I'm sure that someone will tell you to go out and by some special granite cleaner and then some expensive sealer but in fact the granite needs nothing for its protection. You might find that, as with cast iron, that a coat of Johnson's wax will make stock slide more easily on the table. The wax will make the granite a bit darker, as will most of the special granite sealers and waxes, but the granite will absorb dust and dirt and darken over time in any case.

Agree with John W.. I don't do anything to my granite fence on my jointer as I see no real need. The granite is slick to begin with.. I do wipe it with a rag that has been wet with distilled water and wrung out occasionally but.. again I have found no need and have passed around 10,000 linear feet across that fence to this point.
Sarge..
