Hey everyone,
I did a search on the site, and came up with zero.
I need a bunch of t slot bolts. I also wanted to save a buck, and avoid s+h from mail order.
Could I use toilet bolts as a replacement? They look almost identical. However I do not have one to compare with a toilet bolt. Has any one else thought of this or tried it?
Thanks for any advice.

I've used closet bolts in T-tracks for years with no problems. There are several different sizes of T-tracks, however, so take a hunk of yours along to the hardware store to make sure the bolts fit.
Might check your t-track. The narrower ones you can use standard hex head bolts. I have some but can't remember where I ordered it from. Maybe Woodworkers Warehouse?. I also have some of the wider ones that I got a little while ago from Rockler. When they had a sale I bought like 5 of their t-track kits. Each one comes with 8 bolts and knobs I think. So far have only opened 1 kit.
In the past using the narrower t-track I have used toilet bolts (had to grind the sides down, and carriage bolts, again grinding the sides down). Then figured out regular hex head bolts are just fine, never had one spin on me.
Thanks for the advice everyone.Webby
but the toilet bowl bolts are made of brass.. NOT ALL that look like brass ARE brass!
Seen a few or MORE that rusted that looked like brass! And then you may have the option of looking for some old hardware store that still has square headed bolts! Do you have a grinder?
