Just before Xmas, you referred me to a guy who wanted arched top picture frames and I thought I would let you know what's happened since then.
We spent most of January working out the final design details for three sizes of frames and I made a couple of prototypes for him. He ordered 10 frames a couple of weeks ago and will be ordering more. He's also added another size for the arched top frames and we're also working on some designs for hanging posters.
Here is a picture of two of his frames. The large one is 60" wide and 36" high. The small one is 36" wide and 24" high. The first ten go to the paint shop tomorrow.
This looks like a pretty nice gig. He's a great guy with dreams of opening an art gallery. He plans to have paintings made to fit these frames and sell them. I'll be making his frames in orders of ten at a time. My lumberyard is delighted too. I wiped out their inventory of 6/4 poplar to make these and told them I'll probably be back for more.
Thanks for the referral. If I can ever pay you back, let me know.
Glad this worked out for you Dave
