A local lumber mill, (very reputable), has 100 BdFt lots of 5/4 tiger maple with sticker shadow roughly ever 2′. They are offering this lumber at a 75- 80% discount to there normal pricing. They stated that they have been able to plane down to 3/4″ thickness and have clear lumber but some still have the markings. They even state that some will end up being only 2′ usuable boards. Is there any way to bleach or remove this staining from the wood?
Thanks

Sticker stain is caused by a fungus that can penetrate deeply into the wood, how far in you can't tell until you've cut into the board and sometimes the last little bit won't show up until you've applied a finish which makes using the wood very risky. The damage can't be undone, that's why it is 80% off. I would consider it only for the sections between the stains.
