Steve,
Today’s the first day I’ve felt like getting out in the shop and doing anything since getting over the flu/stomach virus that’s been going around here. But, anywhoooo, I was making some practice mortises with those wonderful chisels you sent me (thank you, thank you, thank you) and you don’t chop mortises with them, you carve mortises with them. They are super duper.
I do have one complaint, though. There’s one thing you didn’t warn me of…you didn’t mention just how slippery that slope is. LOL
Thanks,
Harry

Yes, I suppose I could have mentioned that the reason I was able to part with those was because I have acquired so many others to feed my addiction....
You know what the pushers always say, "The first one's free!"
A freshly-honed chisel is a wondrous thing. Of course, it will eventually get dull, and then you will curse me because you will begin to crave waterstones and diamond plates and honing guides....

Oh well, you know what they say..."You can't have omelets without cracking a few eggs." LOL
Talk atcha later,Harry
Following the path of least resistance makes rivers and men crooked.
Steve,
Surely you didn't mean, "......because you will begin to crave waterstones and diamond plates and honing guides...." but rather, "....because you will begin to desire an old and somewhat worn (but totally effective) oilstone from Napie". :-) (I am trying to induce him into an altruistic act and we must begin small).
Lataxe, who needs all his honing guides, plates, steam-powered sharpening jigs and everything.
Napie can send Harry some chisels, and then Harry can decide which to crave.
