The boss gave me permission to buy a new table saw since my old one broke, but I can’t spend much more then $1000. I was looking at the steel city 35610, but can’t find much on it. Any buddy have any detailed review(s) on this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Afternoon Shawn...
The 35610 is very robust and well built. I don't have one, but I got to go over and run some stock through all their saws at IWF and the Atlanta WW Show a few months ago. It would fall in the category of a solid performer backed by a solid performance company as I have their BS and jointer. Was going for their TS, but ran across another re-conditioned at a deal I couldn't refuse literally.

ah, great. Thanks for the information. I was concerned about the quality because the price seemed so low.

I have the SC mortiser and have seen all their other products. The quality is excellent and the 5 year garantee is the best available on woodworking machines in this price range. If I was planning to purchase a saw in this class the SC saw would certainly be at or near the top of my list.
No, I have no interest in the company and have a SS TS.
Steel City is associated with Orion. The 35610 is based on the same format as the very popular Craftsman 22124 made by Orion, so if you've read any of the raves about them, I suppose it's fair to extrapolate at least some of that info to the 35610. The 35610 has a 3hp motor vs 1-3/4hp, and a 50" fence. The cabinet mounted trunnion systems are very similar, though they may be more beefed up to accommodate the larger motor.

Morning monkeyman..
To add to what Knotscott said, Orion who supplies the well recieved Sears zip code saw, is owned by Steel City. Mark Stahler (co-owner of Steel City with Scott Box-formerly of Delta) designed the Sears zip code and the 35610. So.. yes the SC is basically the same as the Zip Code wtih the table tolerances being a tad tighter.
