aren't guide blocks generic?
There's enough youth in this world, how 'bout a fountain of SMART??!!
Not aware of anyone doing it, LG. In order to install cool blocks you woud have to have cool block guides that are made for that saw. Mini Max has a set for their BS's that did round around $100 or at tad more.
To be certain, call SC technical at the Murfreesboro, TN. number listed on the web-site. I elinated the problem of running small blades by just keeping my smaller BS when I purchased the SC 18".
Sarge..
Do you happen to know how eccentric the bearings are(how far will they open?) It may be possible to turn some HDPE and press fit the plastic rings over the bearings. Same principle as some of the router bearings out there that are resized.Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!

1/4" with the vertical bearing guide bar micro-adjusted to same both sides... so 1/8" on each side. Mine is canted slightly left facing the machine. I never made the adjustment yet as I like the right bearing "kissing" the blade ever so slightly. I am right handed an any off-line nudge using a point fence is usually to the right as I stand left.
But again.. in vertical 1/8" as I actually just went down and threw a "mic" on them open to the fullest.

I/8" would be a bit thin for a press on HDPE ring for the bearings. Too bad I think it would have worked to protect the blades teeth, unless you dropped the bearing OD down by 1/4" and turned a thicker ring. What do you think?Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!

I don't think it would be worth the effort. If I didn't have a smaller BS with a dedicated blade for curves... I would simply look for a used as the price on those have taken a nose-dive with everyone seeming to want to upgrade to larger.
I can look at my SC and see a way to fabricate a set of guides as my BIL is a shop foreman at Delta AL in the machine shop. Again.. I just don't have the time required to do it with a list of build me this.. build me that from "you know who". ha.. ha... ha..ha..ha..
But a noble thought indeed Bruce.. and if one had the time....

Sarge, couldn't you (he) make a set out of Lignum vitae???forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
He could FG, as I stated I could fabricate a set of cool block guides an substitute lignum vitae which I consider to be better in lieu of carbon used in cool blocks. But we are talking starting from ground zero as the large eccentric bearings (like Carters if you are familiar) will not accept anything but bearing that are anchored front to rear on the side guides.
Cool blocks or wood inserts can be mounted on some of the Euro BS's. They have the Euro bearings that mount right to left and by removing the metal ones and replacing with Lignum Vitae would be much less complicated.
The bearings could be replaced as mentioned with smaller ones... I just don't personally see that as time efficient for me as I have the bases for both curves.. ripping and re-saw covered. That's why I purchased the larger BS as all band saws are capable of curves if the bearings are small enough to handle the narrow blades.

Are you going to Darrell's open house(shop) tomorrow?
Better life through Zoodles and poutine...
"Are you going to Darrell's open house(shop) tomorrow?" UhOh, I forgot. If I go early, I can. Have 2 horses to ride in the afternoon. Lemme think here......
......well, no I guess I can't. Normally could call my own shot on scheduling, but the owner of one horse wants to be there, so I'm locked into her schedule. Have fun!!!
