Did they come with instructions? Make sure the blade is SHARP. Slide the bullnose forword ro back to open or close the mouth depending on how rank a cut you are taking. Make sure the blade is sharp, and the edge is square to the blade since there is little lateral adjustment. You can remove the bullnose part entirely to use it as a chisel plane. But be sure the blade is sharp.

I bought a new #93 years ago-I still have the box- they don't come with instructions, promotion leaflets of other models etc as far as I know. I can't see what instructions would be needed, for example the blade can only fit one way.
Have you got a problem with the way it works or a sharpening problem?
No problems, just wanted to be thorough starting up. I appreciate the reply.
