Is there a product out there that is some kind of stain marker that can be used to touch up blemishes, sand thrus, etc? If not it seems like a great idea. If anyone knows of such of a thing, please let me know.

Yes, there is such a thing. Behlen, for one, makes a number of colors.
Yes several companies make them, stop at a paint store, they should carry at least a dozen different types. They look like magic markers.Shake hard for a few seconds, apply the felt tip with stain, remove excess with your finger.A finger works better than a rag or paper towel, does not remove the stain from slight scratch like a cloth might.

Minwax makes them too. I've gotten them at HD in the past. As far as I know, it's the same stuff they sell in cans just packaged in a marker. At least they have all the same colors as what they have in the cans.
If you build it he will come.

I also read recently that Sanford, who makes the Sharpie markers, has furniture touchup colors now. However, I have not been able to locate the product in stores. I haven't been super-thrilled with the Minwax touchup pens that are out there in every store. Anything from Behlen's should be good. What intrigued me about the Sharpie was its permanence and quick drying.
If anyone sees this product, please post here. Thanks.
every touch-up supplier carries dozens of different colors.
