I prefer to use Euro screws for mounting drawer slides, especially with large drawers where weight capacity might be an issue. I’ve yet to have a Euro screw strip the threads in the material, either in plywood or in particle board. However, I would much prefer to find these screws in either square drive or Torx drive rather than Posi drive. Does anyone know of a source for such screws?

Welcome to the great North the home of the Square Drive Heaven.
The square drive screw is called up here a "Robertson" the name of the inventor. The history is rich and it came down to H. Ford and a royalty issue. One motto is "ban the phillips head"Head North across the 49th and you can fill your truck till the springs sag.For the record
Yellow handle #0 small screws #4
Green Handle #1 #6 screws and light fixtures
Red Handle # 2 # 8-10 screws . lots of decking, rough electric, most avaleble in length diameter, heads etc.
Blue #3 larger screws like # 12-14 decking, Large bolt together steel things. With a wee tad of magnatization you can hold a screw wrestle into a dumb spot and shoot it. If they slip you lose less flesh if it hits finger.Hoser's have it!
You don't have to sell me on the advantages of square drive. That's all I use in my shop, except for the Euro screws for which I've yet to find a source of square drive screws. McFeely's was recommended, and I checked their catalog, found that they're available in square drive only in 11 mm length.
What length are you looking for?

I'm currently using 14.5 mm Euro screws
That does seem to be a rare beasty.
Quickscrews.com has it in a 13mm length, I don't know if that last 1.5mm is a problem or not in your application.

Thanks, I'll have to check them out. I've never really learned to trust Melamine panels, and when I'm forced to use them I like to get as much fastener into the material as possible. I've also found some rather large voids in cabinet grade pre-finished maple plywood, so the extra length is a comfort with this material as well.
And now I'm probably going to get hate mail from the fans of the plastic covered sawdust board. And no, I'm not buying it from a big box store, but rather from a hardwood supply dealer that caters to cabinet shops.
Hey Move to Canada eh
Google Riechleau. Might be the wrong spelling but will get you what you need. Or Lee Valley! As for my complete distaine for Melmine covered crumb board. see other posts. land fill in progress , mold food.No wonder houses devalue, they are made of MDF and crumbs, merried to nice doors and drawers.
Opinionated yes. But plywood has it's place. in cabinets!!!!! the time you spend dealing with the melmine crap is far less than a real case. Next condo will bid on doing boxes and ordering fronts.
i have also read that the philips was originaly popularized by industry(auto manf) because they cam out when tight, and that worked well for assembly lines.i'm sure thats not the only reason....i just hate it when they cam out and i go skittering across my work!anythings better than a slot head screw.THOSE should be banned....
Hafele may have them.

Are you using a true pozidrive bit. The correct bit drives well. Much better than a phillips bit.
yes, using new Posi drive bits. I've been spoiled by square drive, where I can stick the screw onto the end of the driver, reach back into the cabinet with the driver, stick the screw into the hole and drive it with no cam-out as the screw is seated.
I assume that you are using the 32 mm system, if you are using these screws, which makes me wonder why you are not screwing the hardware on the cabinet side while you can lay it on your workbench, rather than reaching back into the boxes. That method will ruin your neck and knees as you get older. Do you drill your holes before you assemble your carcass? If you are on the 32 mm system, you ought to get some of the shorter screws for when you have to mount hardware on both sides of a 3/4" bulkhead. 2 x 13= 26 mm, or just over 3/4".
