Does anyone know what is going on with spraygunworld.com. I ordered a gun from them on April 26 and I have yet to hear a word from them. I would be careful ordering anything from them right now. I called the manufacturer of the gun I ordered and they said they can’t even get in touch with them. I called my credit card company’s fraud division and they tried to contact them because they ran my card the next day after the order(which my card company said was illegal without shipping product) and they said they could not get in touch with them through the numbers they had for their billing system. They killed the charge, so I am not out any money, but I do not have the gun either. I do not know what is going on, but I thought I would warn my fellow knotheads.
I forgot to add that I have done business with them for years and have never had any problems, but this is a new economy.

I never looked before but when you follow the links on their Website it brings you to ToolParadise.com.
Were they always part of Tool Paradise?
Frank,They have always been a division of toolparadise and both of them are a division of, I think, a company called DP distribution. I just checked their website and they are indeed shut down. It must have gone up recently because I talked to their answering service last week and they said they would get back with me,never did. It said
they shut down their warehouse, but they still processed my card. I
guess crooks will do anything.
What you need to do is initiate a "charge back" immediately with your credit card company. If there is any money in the bank, that will get yours back, but the longer yu wait the less likely for success.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)

I think you're right, Lee, that's the second time this weekend I've messed up. I did have a birthday this weekend, perhaps that extra year has really done me in!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
It's the voices in your head. You have to stop listening to them.-Steve
Or maybe it was a VERY good party :-)Happy Birthday anyway.
"Or maybe it was a VERY good party :-)" Oh, yeah.... And there's another one this Friday night, LOL!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I try, Steve, I really do, but so easily distracted.....forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
That is horrible. I hope that you get your money back.
Hey Terry,
I made a post here awhile ago asking some questions about a particular spray gun ....
long story short I too purchased my gun from spaygun world. I called them twice and left a message that I wanted to purchase a C.A.T. gun, no returned call.. I called a third time. (The first two should have been my clue) anyway.... Mr David Nakatsu, perhaps the owner I don't know, gladly took my order, I paid with PayPal. On April 29th my payment cleared and that was the last I heard of them.
I called C.A.T. directly and did not even mention the name and they knew exactly why I was calling. He apparently has done this to a long list of people, and yet they told me till about 4 months ago he was a good distributor. the good people at C.A.T. made him credit the cards back and then sold the product direct. I on the other hand had the pleasure of dealing with the idiots at PayPal. A story I will not get into. My spray gun was shipped on 5-27-09 finally. and I did get my money back from PayPal, again finally.
Stay away from Tool Paradise/spraygun world
Good luck,
John
My experience was similar to yours. I also bought the C.A.T. SLP woodworkers kit and recieved the gun today. Looks like a beauty. I hope it is worth all the trouble for the both of us. My smartest move was to use my Capital One Visa card because they went right after the bank they use and killed my charge the day I called them. Spraygunworld applied the charge to my card without even thinking about sending the gun. The Capital One fraud division manager told me it is illegal for a company to charge your card without shipping the merchandise. They said is even illegal to charge your card if it is on backorder. That is why reputable companies tell you they won't charge your card until the item is shipped if they do not have it in stock.
