Can someone please help me get through a ‘senior moment’. About two weeks ago there was a thread about an after-market splitter and anti-kickback pawl unit that would fit many different table saws. It could be easily removed to do dado work. I could be wrong but the name ‘Majestic’ or ‘Major’ sticks in my mind as the manufacturer.
(SWMBO says I’m always wrong). Either a link back to the thread or the website of the manufacturer would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance, SawdustSteve

The article mentioned above doesn't include the Merlin splitter, which may be the one you're remembering. There are several versions made for specific saws. Here's the link:

The one I have was not made for my old Jet, but I made it fit. Not a perfect solution, but it works well. I have to be careful not to raise the blade too high, and when titled to 45*s there can be some interference. Those problems probably don't occur with a splitter that's actually designed for the saw it's on.
