Can anyone recommend an alternative to Sketchup that’ll work on an iPad Pro 12.9 since my laptop is somewhat geriatric and I don’t trust it for much beyond mass storage of media Free is good but I don’t mind paying for an app if there’s enough functionality to justify the expense.

I haven't used it but it's one of the few that I've seen that supports 3D and the Apple Pencil -
Fair warning - it's not cheap - $240/year!
But it is 3D - like Sketchup.
I use Graphic and Affinity Designer on mac and iPad. Neither are 3D but both are good drawing apps for 2D design. I personally like Graphic a bit better.
