Shop made router table in my tablesaw
I have a Delta 10″ Contractors saw w/a Biesemeyer 40″ Home Shop fence. I have built a right extension table to accomodate the Biesemeyer fence upgrade as well as an outfeed table. Because I have a rather small woodshop ( 16′ x 16′), I would like to replace my left extension table so I can incorporate my Hitachi 3 HP plunge router into the tablesaw to conserve space.
I would like to use the Biesemeyer as a fence for the router, by attaching an auxilliary router fence, that I have designed for it. On paper, it appears that it should work quite nicely.
Would anyone have any suggestions as to how I should construct the router tabletop?

Hi,
I just did the same, I basically cut out a piece of the extension to fit my router plate and I am asking myself now, how come I did not do this 100 years ago. I have the incra fence for the router (twinlinear) and the plate can raise or lower the router (I forgot the name). The setup works real nice. I just need to atache the dust colector, which I don't see a problem

Hi Rob. I have a similar setup. Delta con. saw and Hitachi router. I bought a Veritas router table top and fence and I drilled and tapped the top to accept a piano hinge. I then attatched this to the left side of my saw. I swing it up and flip out a leg when I need it and drop it down out of the way when I don't. I also put a adaptor on the end of my router dust collector that brings it up to the saws 4" hose. Just switch the hose and go. It works great.
