A couple weeks ago I purchased a Shop Fox heavy duty mobile base through the internet to be used for my BT3100 table saw. Upon assembly I discovered one nut that did not have the threads cast and one of the sides had a couple stripped holes making it somewhat less stable than it should have been. Not wanting to pay shipping back to the place that had sold it (it’s heavy!) I contacted the Shop Fox people through email and explained my problem. By the next day they had responded with their apologies for the difficulties and had shipped out a bag of new nuts along with a replacement side which arrived yesterday. After some experiences I’ve had with companies not standing behind their products this sort of warranty response seems noteworthy to me and prompts me to post this notice publicly. Shop Fox has earned my repeat business should I have need of any of their products in the future.

Funny, the one base I bought from them 3 or 4 years ago was all out of whack too. It's great, of course, that they stand behind their product, sure would be nice if the quality control was better, though. I think it must be infinitely better on their power tools, as I haven't heard anything bad about the mortiser yet.
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Glad you guys brought this up, either of you tried their dust collecter? Found a potential good deal on one, and am curious about their quality. Sounds like customer service is great, but I'd rather not have to use it....
