Back near the end of February I asked members of this forum for their information about Shop Fox tablesaws and received many replies. Just wanted to let them know that I did indeed purchase the W1677 saw and am very happy with it. It is solid and stays put and has as much power as I should ever need. Not the mention that the dust collection is much better than my contractors saw could ever deliver.
Thank you again for you comments.

Welcome to the Shop Fox club. One bit of advice (unsolicited--the best kind)is to tighten the grub screws on the motor pulley. Mine fell out and killed the belts after a few minutes of use. Woodstock was very nice about replacing screws and belts, but I'd rather have avoided it.
I also have the Shop Fox 8" parallelogram jointer. It's a joy to use. I have the 17" bandsaw on the way. I'll post about that after I try it.
Whoa, David, did you find the used band saw you were looking for, or did you decide to spring for a new one?!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Hi JamieI got a 10% coupon from ebay, which stacked on top of the MS Cashback deal, plus free shipping. The 10% deal was only for 24 hours, so I thought I'd better just jump. Besides, it was my 49th BD and Irene really pushed for me to do it. I think she really just wanted me to stop talking about it, but it worked for me.David B
"I think she really just wanted me to stop talking about it, but it worked for me." Too funny! Whatever works, I guess, LOL. Congrats.
I'll have to stop by and see that puppy. After April 15th (not taxes, big trip).forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Sounds great Jamie!David B
