Does anyone out there own and use a Shop Fox cabinet saw? I am considering purchasing the W1677 model and am looking for some feedback?
Thanks for any comments you are able to add.

I have had mine for 2 years now. Performs well. I highly recommend it. Does what it should, is vibration free, heavy, and stays in adjustment.
Thanks renthal, that's what I was hoping to hear!
The W1677 is essentially a Grizzly 1023SL painted white...it also has an extra year warranty, but is otherwise about identical. I've had one since July and have been very happy with it. I slid the front rail tube over 10" to increase the rip capacity...you're not likely to need any rip capacity on the left since it's a left tilt saw.

Thanks for the comment Knotscott, I have the opportunity to purchase a W1677 for $1099 minus $75 if I transfer my Biesemeyer fence from my other saw. After all the comments from the forum, the deal is sounding better all the time.
Ditto Knotscott.. same TS as the Grizzly owner (Shiraz B) also owns Woodstock International. The Shopfox is (Woodstock International) is just a way of marketing through local distributors in lieu of catalog.. internet with only 3 large show-rooms in the United States for the Grizzly.
Thats a good deal especially with $75 off for keeping your Beisemeyer.
Sarge..
Sarge;
I've found the Shop Fox offerings in some cases not identical to the equivalent Grizzly model. Often the fit and finish is better on the SF and there can be other differences such as the larger table on the oscillating spindle sander.
Edited to add the table is bigger on the Shop Fox.

And I do agree with you, DG. I had a Shop-fox mortiser at a time that Grizzly didn't offer one in their line. I have seen some differences in a few other machines but.. they are marginal IMO at the most.
But.. again you are correct as there are some differences on some machines that could be considered a slight upgrade if you compare them side by side and it's good you pointed that out as some of the guys and girls don't get to compare.
Sarge..
who stand's corrected for the good of all... :>)

Thank you all for your responses, I feel very confident that i will be happy with the shop fox saw.
I have a W1677 also. I like it very much. It's a solid, simple piece of equipment. The adjustments are easy to do and stay where you put them.
If you intend to use a splitter and/or blade guard, you'll need to go aftermarket, as the stock one is not great. I have been using the Shark Guard for several years with good results. It will give you overhead dust collection also, if you need it.
Also the stock miter gauge is clunky, so you'll want to upgrade that too, if you don't already have a good one.
Make sure you get a bunch of solvent and rags. There is a LOT of cosmolene on the cast iron parts.
