I spent last weekend building a few turkey box calls. Never made one before but I put together three slightly different variations using some scrap cherry. This weekend, I put one of them to work – and it did – just fine. I managed to call in two toms and a hen all at the same time. I wish all of my projects worked so well.
Not the best of photos but it’s the best of the bunch.

How in the blazes do you link to a picture so it will actually appear here? This forum software is a bit complex for a simple minded guy like me.

Heck, even and old phart like me kin do it.
OK, here's how I did it (On a PC, not Mac): I clicked on your link to the pic and displayed it in a new window in my browser (Internet Explorer). I then placed the mouse over the pic and right clicked on it and selected Copy from the drop down list.
Then clicked on Reply back here in Knots, typed It's easy and again right clicked in the text box and selected Paste from the drop down menu.

Don't get to good at it. One of our neighbors called in a mountain lion who pounced on him before figuring out he wasn't a turkey!
Tink,
One of my neighbors once made a moose call out of birch bark. The Indians used to make them - they look like a short megaphone. I heard it and grabbed the digital camera hoping to see the moose.
When he spotted me he yelled, "Bob, I didn't know moose carried cameras!" Glad it wasn't a turkey call. :-)

Nice turkey. What make of shotgun is that side by side? I have a BSS that looks a lot like it.J
thanks for the comments and compliments.
The shotgun is a Merkel Model 8 with a few minor modifications. It is a rather modern shottie by my standards, but a good one nonetheless.
