I don’t have a lot of experience with finishing, but I have made several test pieces and one wipe on – wipe off coat of the Seal A Cell, then two coats of the Arm R Seal, then a coat (apply and buff) of the Liberon wax using 0000 steel wool looks pretty good, has anyone had any problems with these materials? I noticed on some of my maple pieces that sometimes the finish is a little thin in spots, but the steel wool seems to smooth them right out when looked at in the light. Does anyone know if the wax would need to be striped in order to apply another coat of Arm R Seal? Just looking for a little advise. Thank you-

You should remove any wax on the would before you put anymore finish on it. Use paint thinner or oder-less mineral sprites. I think you are on the right track with your finish. Also stay away from silicone based waxes as they are very hard to remove and any new finish will have problems sticking to it.
Good luck

I 've been using General finishes products for years, and really like them.
I find, though, that I need at least three coats of the Arm-R-Seal to get a decent build.
As Troys said, remove the wax with mineral spirits (and 0000 steel wool if necessary) and apply another coat.

I use that finish alot and the last few coats put it on thinned with mineral spirits and the last coat will use VERY thin mixture of finish and naptha. Dries quick without the time to let much dust settle. Learned that from Marc Spagnuolo. The secret is to steel wool each coat. I use 000 for the first and second coat and then 0000.
