I was at Lowes yesterday and found they were clearing out Delta’s 16″ Variable Speed Scroll Saw w/Leg Set for $129. Depending on who you believe it lists for $240 to $340. In either case it’s a great deal.

If it's the SS350LS, it is a good deal -- that one runs normally around $189 ("list price" means nothing. Just a gimmick to make us feel good). There are a couple(?) other 16" variable speeds still available in some stores. Without a model number, it's hard to tell exactly what you're lookin' at, but I have their middle-range 16" variable speed, picked up before last Christmas, and it's a great little machine for the seasonal scroller!

FG,
Yes, it's the SS350LS. I already bought it. I wasn't sure at the time and I figured if it was a dog I could return it. I already put the stand together and mounted the scroll saw. I did some test cutting and really like it.
I'm gong to mount the stand to a sheet of plywood and put some casters on it.
My friend has the same one and bought some jewelers blades. He cuts 1/4" thick brass with it.
Thanks for the info.Hi, I'm Len and I'm a Toolaholic...
